There will also be special guests including the outstanding Irish-born soulful singer and keyboard-player, Mary Jane Guiney, who has just got back from her spiritual home of New Orleans. Ali Penney has a swag of songs and a hot band, The Money Makers - they groove, grind and swing, with a bit of blues, a spattering of funk and a sprinkling of soul and boogie. After seeing Ali Penny play, Freddy King’s right-hand-man, guitarist Andrew ‘Junior Boy’ Jones said: “This girl plays piano like an 80-year-old black guy – she’s gotta lotta soul” . Known as “Australia’s Queen of Boogie Piano”, Jan Preston has a reputation as an astonishing piano player with a rich resonant voice who is a dynamic and captivating live performer. The winner of five Music Awards, Jan plays festivals and concerts throughout Australia, NZ, the UK, Europe and China, tours her own shows, and writes music for films and television, such as the theme to Australian Story. “Jan Preston is surely Australia’s Queen of the Piano... Her playing is as flawless as it is loose and joyful.” - Rhythms Magazine. Websites:
